How perfect is it that Linkin Park is right next to Limp Bizkit in the CD bins? Fans hunting for the scientifically perfect blend of rap and rock--sans Fred Durst's lame attitude--need look no further than the debut from this pissed 'n' troubled Los Angeles band. Fronted by two vocalists--one guy mainly raps while the other screams his head off--Linkin Park mix angst, body-rumbling guitars and a better than most backing deejay. It's dark and grimy but also surprisingly catchy. Some of the screaming melodrama might get to you after awhile (the walls are always closing in or someone's always about to break). But in the end the guys show the promise to move beyond the pack in the overcrowded rock-rap genre...
